In "Road Trip," fraternity guy Josh Parker (Breckin Meyer, "Rat Race") has a long-distance relationship with his high school girlfriend, Tiffany (Rachel Blanchard, "Sugar & Spice"). The separation - he's in college in New York and she's in college in Texas -- leads him to make a "little" mistake; he makes a video of his seduction by the local sexpot (Amy Smart, "Interstate 60"). He has also made a sweet video to send to Tiffany, but the two tapes get mixed up and the hot one goes in the mail to Texas.
Lacking the cash to fly, Josh borrows a car and he and his pals hit the road in a mad dash to beat the errant tape to its destination. The laugh-packed journey is filled with more than potholes and the frat boys encounter some pretty hilarious speed bumps along the way.
"Road Trip" stars Breckin Meyer as Josh Parker, Seann William Scott ("Old School," "American Pie 2") as E.L., Amy Smart as Beth, Paulo Costanzo ("40 Days and 40 Nights," "Scorched") as Rubin Carver, DJ Qualls ("The New Guy") as Kyle Edwards, Tom Green as Barry, Rachel Blanchard ad Tiffany Henderson, Anthony Rapp ("A Beautigul Mind") as Jacob, Fred Ward ("Sweet Home Alabama") as Earl Edwards, Andy Dick as motel clerk, Ethan Suplee as Ed, Horatio Sanz as French toast guy, Rhoda Griffis as tour group mom, Deborah Zoe as E.L.'s girlfriend and Marla Sucharetza as sperm bank nurse.
The 2000 release was directed by Todd Phillips ("Old School," "Frat House") and written by Phillips and Scot Armstrong ("Old School"). The feature was produced by DreamWorks SKG and The Montecito Picture Company. (CLOSED-CAPTIONED)
