"So This Is Christmas" -- While the rest of the team spends a rare day at the office without a case to solve, Jack endures a brutal deposition by his wife's divorce attorney as part of their custody battle, on WITHOUT A TRACE, Thursday, Dec. 9 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. This episode was directed and written by Hank Steinberg, the series' creator and one of the series' executive producers.
Martin Landau ("Mission Impossible," "Ed Wood") and Timothy Busfield ("thirtysomething," "The West Wing") return in their respective roles as Jack's father and Jack's divorce attorney. Busfield is also one of the series' co-executive producers.
Jack gets more than he bargained for when, during the lengthy deposition at which his wife Maria shows up unannounced, her cutthroat attorney uses Jack's childhood traumas, his past affair with Samantha and his dedication to his job against him. Meanwhile, the rest of the team decorates the office Christmas tree and entertains Jack's father as they all await Jack's return and the start of their afternoon holiday office party.
