A DIANE SAWYER EXCLUSIVE: A WIDE-RANGING, BLOCKBUSTER INTERVIEW
WITH "OCEAN'S TWELVE" CO-STARS GEORGE CLOONEY, BRAD PITT,
CATHERINE ZETA-JONES, MATT DAMON, DON CHEADLE AND ANDY GARCIA,
ON ABC NEWS' "PRIMETIME LIVE," THURSDAY, DECEMBER 2
In an exclusive interview on this week's "Primetime Live," Diane Sawyer talks with George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle and Andy Garcia about teaming up again for "Ocean's Twelve," the sequel to their stylish 2001 blockbuster. As the jokes-and the personal barbs-fly fast, it quickly becomes clear that the chemistry between these megastars is just as entertaining in real life as it is on-screen. Along the way, they discuss everything from the fascination with celebrity to dealing with rejection, the importance of family and the influence of Hollywood on American politics. "Primetime Live" airs THURSDAY, DECEMBER 2 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
Sawyer sits down with the six stars in a spectacular setting, the stunning Palm Springs home of "Ocean's Twelve" executive producer Jerry Weintraub. The actors talk about the precarious nature of celebrity and wealth, and Sawyer learns that family has had a lot to do with each one's enormous success. They reflect on working together and discuss something that co-star Julia Roberts did that impressed them all. Clooney, whose father recently ran an unsuccessful race for Congress in Kentucky, and the other stars also share their opinions about the impact of Hollywood on America's social values, and the perception of stars who become involved in politics.
Since much has changed in the three years since their initial collaboration, Sawyer asks these actors at the top of their game where they want to be, professionally and personally, three years from now -- and gets some very surprising answers.
Diane Sawyer, Chris Cuomo, Cynthia McFadden and John Quiqones are the anchors of "Primetime Live." Shelley Ross is the executive producer.
