Marcus helps Will reach a surprising new level of maturity, and in exchange Will provides guidance on how to be a "cool kid."
Starring are Hugh Grant ("Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason," "Love Actually," "Four Weddings and a Funeral") as Will, Toni Collette ("Changing Lanes," "The Sixth Sense") as Fiona, Rachel Weisz ("Constantine," "Runaway Jury") as Rachel and Nicholas Hoult (TV series "Star" and "The Fallen Curtain") as Marcus.
"About a Boy" is directed by Chris Weitz ("American Pie," "Down to Earth") and Paul Weitz ("In Good Company," "American Pie"). The screenplay is written by Peter Hedges ("Pieces of April," "What's eating Gilbert Grape"), with writing credits (novel) given to Nick Hornby.
