EMMY AWARD WINNER BOB BARKER RETURNS TO PRIME TIME WITH "THE PRICE IS RIGHT MILLION DOLLAR SPECTACULAR," THREE NEW PRIMETIME SPECIALS CELEBRATING THE SHOW'S ILLUSTRIOUS HISTORY, WITH THE FIRST TWO AIRING SATURDAY, APRIL 9 AND SATURDAY, APRIL 16 ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK
THE PRICE IS RIGHT MILLION DOLLAR SPECTACULAR, hosted by Emmy Award winner Bob Barker, returns to prime time with three new episodes celebrating the game show's 33 year history on CBS, the first two to be broadcast Saturday, April 9 (8:00�9:00 PM, ET/PT) and Saturday, April 16 (8:00�9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. The third special's airdate will be announced at a later date.
Some of THE PRICE IS RIGHT's most memorable and unusual moments will be highlighted with vintage clips shown between games. Contestants will have the opportunity to win prizes valued at more than quadruple those offered in the daytime version, including the most expensive single prize ever offered -- a boat worth more than $100,000. Other prizes include sports and luxury cars, exotic vacations and the chance to spin the wheel for $1 million. In addition, the specials will feature six Barker's Beauties, as well as the show's announcer, Rich Fields.
"We're unique in the game show world in that no one else has lasted as long as we have," says Barker. "We thought audiences would enjoy reliving those moments that have contributed to our success."
THE PRICE IS RIGHT is now in its 33rd year and is television�s longest-running game show. During its run, 1.3 million people have sat in the studio audience for tapings and more than 50,000 have made it up to Contestants Row to share in more than $260 million worth of prizes.
The special as well as the series is a Mark Goodson Production, in association with FremantleMedia, North America, Inc. Bob Barker is executive producer, Roger Dobkowitz, the producer and Bart Eskander, the director. The series is broadcast weekdays (11:00 AM-12:00 Noon, ET; 10:00-11:00 AM, PT) on the CBS Television Network.
