GET READY FOR SOME FAST, FUN FAMILY ADVENTURE, WHEN "SPY KIDS 2: ISLAND OF LOST DREAMS" MAKES ITS NETWORK TELEVISION PREMIERE ON ABC, SATURDAY, APRIL 16

Get ready for a high-spirited, kid-empowering, rollicking family adventure when ABC broadcasts the network television premiere of "Spy Kids 2: Island of Lost Dreams," the sequel to 2001's highly successful "Spy Kids." Starring Antonio Banderas, Carla Gugino, Steve Buscemi, Alexa Vega and Daryl Sabara, "Spy Kids 2" will air as the "ABC Saturday Movie of the Week," APRIL 16 (9:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Editors please note: This film had originally been scheduled to air April 2, but did not air. It now replaces "The Fast and the Furious" on April 16.

"Spy Kids 2: Island of Lost Dreams" brings back the entire Cortez family in a visual feast of new psychedelic gadgets and special effects, and with the mission of a lifetime -- to save the world, again! This time the Cortez crew is up against a nefarious scientist known as Romero (Steve Buscemi). A more mature Carmen and Juni team up with two other spy kids, Gary and Gerti Giggles, on a mission to a mysterious island, where they must do battle with the evil scientist and his imaginative minage of menacing creatures.

Starring are Antonio Banderas (Emmy-nominated for "And Starring Pancho Villa as Himself"; "Shrek 2," "Once Upon a time in Mexico") as Gregorio Cortez, Carla Gugino (TV's "Karen Sisco," "The One") as Ingrid Cortez, Alexa Vega ("Sleepover," "State's Evidence") as Carmen Cortez, Daryl Sabara ("The Polar Express," TV's "Father of the Pride") as Juni Cortez, Steve Buscemi (Emmy-nominated for "The Sopranos"; "Big Fish," "Mr. Deeds") as Romero, Danny Trejo ("Reindeer Games," "Con Air") as Machete Cortez, Cheech Marin ("Christmas with the Kranks," "Good Boy!") as Felix Gumm, Matt O'Leary ("The Alamo") as Gary Giggles and Emily Osment (TV's "Sarah, Plain & Tall: Winter's End") as Gerti Giggles.
