ABC TO AIR COSMIC CAPER SEQUEL "MEN IN BLACK II,"

Join the chase when MIB special agents Jay & Kay re-team for round two in their quest to rid the world of aliens, as ABC broadcasts "Men in Black II," the sequel to the 1997 intergalactic phenomenon, "Men in Black." Featuring Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones, Lara Flynn Boyle, Rip Torn, Tony Shalhoub and Patrick Warburton, "Men in Black II" will air in HDTV with 5.1-channel surround sound and Spanish audio as the "ABC Monday Movie of the Week," JUNE 13 (9:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.
MIB agents Jay (Will Smith) & Kay (Tommy Lee Jones) step back into action in "Men in Black II" with new and improved weapons to exterminate a new and improved batch of aliens. This time they're protecting the world from the evil but oh-so-sexy Serleena, who is out to retrieve the 'Light of Zartha,' a power that can annihilate the world. But with Agent Kay out of the game for so long, can the duo whip themselves back into shape and live up to the challenge...?
The film's outstanding cast includes Will Smith ("Hitch," "Bad Boys I &II") as agent Jay, Tommy Lee Jones ("The Missing," "Batman Forever") as agent Kay, Lara Flynn Boyle ("Baby's Day Out," TV's "The Practice") as Serleena, Rip Torn ("Dodgeball: A True Underdog story," "Wonder Boys") as Zed, Tony Shalhoub ("Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over," TV's "Monk") as Jack Jeebs and Patrick Warburton (TV's "Less than Perfect," "The Emperor's New Groove") as Agent Tee.
"Men in Black II" was directed by Barry Sonnenfeld ("Lemony Snicket's a Series of Unfortunate Events," TV's "Karen Sisco"). Writing credits are given to Lowell Cunningham ("Sith Apprentice," "Jedi Hunter") for the comic book, "Malibu comics," as well as Robert Gordon ("Galaxy Quest," "Lemony Snicket's a Series of Unfortunate Events") for the story.
