FREDDIE PRINZE, JR. AND JESSICA BIEL STAR - Set in Cape Cod, this 2001 drama stars Freddie Prinze, Jr. ("Scooby Doo") as Ryan Dunne, a blue-collar kid with aspirations to become a major league baseball player. Ryan is distracted from his focus on baseball by Tenley (Jessica Biel, The WB's "7th Heaven," "Blade: Trinity"), a beautiful young woman who comes to town with her family. The friction builds between Ryan's loyal townie friends and his cocky teammates, but when a major league scout comes to town, Ryan tries to push the problems of romance and player rivalry aside, knowing his sports talent may be his only ticket out of the small town. Matthew Lillard, Brittany Murphy, Jason Gedrick and Wilmer Valderama also star. The film was directed by Kevin Falls with screenplay by Michael Tollin.
