ABC NEWS' COVERAGE OF THE TERRORIST BOMBINGS IN LONDON
Hour-long "Primetime Live" Special Report Airs Tonight at 10:00 p.m., ET
"World News Tonight" and "Nightline" Also Devote Their Entire Broadcasts to Coverage of the Attacks
"Primetime Live" will air an hour-long special report on this morning's terrorist bombings in London tonight at 10:00 p.m., ET. Anchored by Bob Woodruff in London and Cynthia McFadden in New York, the program will feature reports from ABC News' Martin Bashir, Don Dahler, Brian Ross, Jim Sciutto in London and Bob Brown, as well as live interviews about and analysis of today's events. Reports will explore responsibility for the attacks, preparedness in the United States for a potential similar attack, worldwide reaction and the psychological impact of terrorism, among other topics.
"World News Tonight" will also devote this evening's entire broadcast to the attacks. Charles Gibson will anchor from New York, with reports from Bob Woodruff, David Wright and Jim Sciutto in London. Terry Moran is in Scotland with President Bush and will report on reaction from the G-8 Summit. Pierre Thomas and Lisa Stark will have the latest on what precautions U.S. and local officials are taking, and Brian Ross investigates what we may know about who carried out the attacks.
"Nightline" will continue ABC News' special coverage of the London terror bombings at 11:35 p.m., ET. Ted Koppel will anchor a comprehensive overview of the day's events, including an interview with former terrorists who will provide their analysis of the possible motivation for such an attack.
Former White House counter-terrorism advisor and ABC News consultant Richard Clarke will provide analysis throughout the day.
ABC News will break into regularly-scheduled programming for special reports, as events warrant.
ABC News Now will provide live anchored coverage of the aftermath of the explosions in London with live coverage of press conferences from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and New York City security officials, updates on national security and intelligence reports, interviews with counter-terrorism analysts and the ABC News team monitoring the situation abroad and in the U.S.
ABC News Radio will provide continuing coverage of the explosions in London. ABC News correspondents Linda Albin and Tom Rivers will report from London, joined by ABC News correspondent Aaron Katersky. ABC News Radio will broadcast a one-hour instant special tonight at 7:06 p.m., ET, anchored by ABC News special correspondent Gil Gross.
ABCNEWS.com's coverage will include breaking-news alerts, analysis and eyewitness reports, reactions in the United States and worldwide, plus video, photos and interactive graphics.
NewsOne, the ABC News affiliate news feed service, will provide live reports from correspondents Lama Hasan and Stephanie Sy in London and Andrea Canning and Lauren Rogers in Washington, DC. In addition, correspondents Gloria Riviera and Eric Horng will report from New York on domestic reaction to the attacks.
