A "PRIMETIME" HIDDEN CAMERA EXPERIMENT: WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
Also: Barbra Streisand Talks with Diane Sawyer About Love, Happiness and the One Thing She Can't Live Without
90-Minute Season Premiere Airs Thursday, September 22 at 9:30 p.m., ET
In its 90-minute season premiere, "Primetime" explores how we react - or choose not to act -- when we see someone being threatened or victimized. "Primetime's" hidden camera experiment takes a look at who gets involved and who doesn't in various sticky situations, and whether men or women are more likely to intervene. The choices people make are surprising, whether they witness someone shoplifting at a local shop or observe an argument between a couple on the brink of a violent confrontation. We all like to think we'd do "the right thing," but what exactly is the right thing and what causes some of us to do something and others look the other way? Then, in a heated discussion, participants explain what they did -- or didn't do - and why. John QuiC1ones reports. This extended edition of "Primetime" airs THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 22 (9:30-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
Also: In a wide-ranging interview with Diane Sawyer, legendary singer, actress and director Barbra Streisand talks about everything from her legendary stage fright to love, heartbreak and staying on top for decades. With the release of her new CD, Guilty Pleasures, 25 years after her initial collaboration with Barry Gibb, Streisand reflects on how she's changed, how her voice hasn't, and why she's still happiest just hanging out at home.
DIANE SAWYER, CHRIS CUOMO, CYNTHIA McFADDEN and JOHN QUICONES are the anchors of "Primetime." DAVID SLOAN is the executive producer.
