After a woman Charlie's been sleeping with professes her love for him, he responds inappropriately, and learns from Rose that his inability to have a long-lasting relationship is due to unresolved issues with his mother. Meanwhile, Jake approaches Charlie for relationship advice regarding a girl who likes him at school, much to the chagrin of Alan.
