TWO ESTRANGED BROTHERS REUNITE IN THEIR SMALL HOMETOWN TO DEAL WITH THEIR MOMS RECENT RELEASE FROM AN INSTITUTION AND THEIR DADS LEAVING HER FOR ANOTHER WOMAN, ON THE NEW COMEDY CRUMBS, PREMIERING THURSDAY, JANUARY 12 ON ABC

Family is enough to drive anyone a little crazy. Children keep secrets from their parents, dads leave for other women and moms try to run over dads with the car. That was the point when the Crumb family knew that Mom was crazy, on the new midseason comedy series Crumbs, premiering THURSDAY, JANUARY 12 (9:30-10:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television network.

Central to everything in the Crumb family is the dynamic between two brothers, Mitch (Fred Savage), the prodigal son who is returning home after a failed Hollywood career, and Jody, the older brother who has stayed in the confines of their small New England town to run the family restaurant business. Together for the first time as adults, this family will have to stick by one another despite their highly combustible relationships.

In the season premiere, Pilot, Mitch and Jody reunite in their hometown to deal with their mother, Suzanne, who has just been released from a psychiatric facility and has yet to learn that her ex-husband, Billy, is about to have a baby with his new girlfriend.

Crumbs stars Fred Savage (The Wonder Years), as Mitch Crumb, Jane Curtin (two-time Emmy Award winner for Kate and Allie, SNL, 3rd Rock from the Sun) as Suzanne Crumb, William Devane (Knots Landing, 24) as Billy Crumb, Eddie McClintock (The Sweetest Thing) as Jody Crumb, Maggie Lawson (Pleasantville) as Andrea Malone and Reginald Ballard as Elvis.

Guest starring are Kevin Rahm as Roger, Kevin Chamberlin as massage client, Crystal Kwon as the waitress, Yvonne Arias as the hostess, Rende Rae Norman as woman no. 1, Suzanne Ford as woman no. 2 and John Kelly as the customer.

Pilot was written by Marco Pennette and directed by Ted Wass.

Executive producer/creator of Crumbs is Marco Pennette. Mike Tollin, Brian Robbins and Joe Davola are executive producers. The series is from Touchstone Television in association with Tollin/Robbins productions.

Crumbs is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABCs selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound and Spanish subtitles via secondary closed captioning.
