The �ABC Saturday Movie of the Week� Will Air in HDTV Format With 5.1-Channel Surround Sound and Spanish Audio via SAP.

�Enemy of the State,� the action-packed thriller starring Will Smith, Gene Hackman and Jon Voight, airs as an �ABC Saturday Movie of the Week,� JANUARY 21 (8:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. The film will be presented in HDTV format with 5.1-channel surround sound and Spanish audio via SAP. (Rebroadcast. OAD: 5/20/02)

In �Enemy of the State,� Will Smith (�Hitch,� �I, Robot�) portrays a lawyer who unwittingly comes into possession of evidence and becomes trapped in a web of murder and espionage. Gene Hackman (�Welcome to Mooseport,� �Runaway Jury�) portrays Brill, Smith�s only lifeline to reality and safety. Brill is a shadowy former American spy who outlines the breadth and depth of the agency (headed by Jon Voight, TV�s �The Five People You Meet in Heaven,� �Ali�) that is either trying to kill Smith or blame him for the murder of a Congressman. Also starring are Lisa Bonet (�High Fidelity�), Regina King (�Ray,� �How Stella Got Her Groove Back�) and Gabriel Byrne (�Vanity Fair,� �End of Days�).

Starring are Will Smith as Robert Clayton �Bobby� Dean, Gene Hackman as Edward Lyle (�Brill�), Jon Voight as Thomas Brian Reynolds, Lisa Bonet as Rachel F. Banks, Regina King as Carla Dean, Stuart Wilson as Republican Congressman Sam Albert, Laura Cayouette as Christa Hawkins, Loren Dean as Hicks, Barry Pepper as Det. David Pratt, Ian Hart as Bingham, Jake Busey as Krug, Scott Caan as Jones, Jason Lee as Daniel Leon Zavitz and Gabriel Byrne as Fake Brill.

The 1998 film was directed by Tony Scott (�Man on Fire,� �Spy Game�) and written by David Marconi (�The Harvest�). The feature was produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Films, Scott Free Productions and Touchstone Pictures.
