Steve Martin (�The Pink Panther,� �Cheaper by the Dozen 2,� �Shopgirl�) and Queen Latifah (�Last Holiday,� �Beauty Shop,� �Chicago�) star in the hilarious comedy �Bringing Down the House,� airing in HDTV format with 5.1-channel surround sound and Spanish audio via SAP as the �ABC Thursday Movie of the Week,� MARCH 9 (8:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network

�Bringing Down the House� tells the story of Peter Sanderson (Martin), a straight-arrow, recently divorced attorney who stills longs for his ex-wife and wonders why she left him. In trying to move on with his life, he falls into the grasp of a woman he meets chatting online. He envisions an intelligent, captivating, legal eagle, but in their first face-to-face meeting, Peter�s visions of Charlene (Queen Latifah) go up in smoke. When the smoke clears, she isn�t polished, isn�t scholarly and isn�t even a lawyer. Instead she�s a prison convict who has managed to break out of jail, still professing her innocence, and she wants Peter to help her clear her name. He has other intentions, however, and wants no part of her plan -- which leads the boisterous and rowdy Charlene to turn Peter�s simple life into utter chaos, jeopardizing his effort to get back with his wife and to woo a billion-dollar client.

�Bringing Down the House� stars Steve Martin as Peter Sanderson, Queen Latifah as Charlene Morton, Eugene Levy (�American Pie,� �Cheaper by the Dozen 2�) as Howie Rottman, Jean Smart (�I Heart Huckabees,� �Sweet Home Alabama�) as Kate Sanderson, Missi Pyle (�Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,� �Dodgeball�) as Ashley and Betty White (TV�s �Boston Legal,� �Joey�) as Mrs. Kline.

The film, released in 2003, and was directed by Adam Shankman. The screenplay was written by Jason Filardi.

The ABC Television Network�s HDTV broadcast of �Bringing Down the House� will air in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC�s selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound and Spanish audio via SAP.
