KATHY GIVES BACK TO HER PEOPLEGAYS AND PRISONERSON BRAVO'S HIT SERIES 'KATHY GRIFFIN: MY LIFE ON THE D-LIST' TUESDAY, JULY 10 AT 10PM ET/PT
BURBANK, Calif. July 5, 2007 Lately, Kathy Griffin has been thinking a lot about giving back to the community, and who better to give back to than the people who made her who she is todaythe gays! In this outrageous episode of "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List," airing Tuesday, July 10 at 10PM ET/PT, Griffin is offered the chance to host the Gay Adult Video Awards, something she can't turn down. Griffin doesn't mind being the Ellen DeGeneres of gay pornbesides, it never hurts the resume to have a big awards show on the list. But giving back to the gays isn't enough, so Griffin plans a comedy tour at the Arizona State Penitentiary. In typical Griffin fashion, Griffin's not afraid of being killedshe's only worried that her comedy won't kill.
Griffin on bringing her comedy act to the Arizona State Penitentiary, where a female inmate threatens to kill her:
"I really can't be anywhere for two days without someone wanting to kill me. Normally, it would be Gwyneth Paltrow, but today it was a woman who actually is kind of a murderer."
"I'm going to be performing in Perryville State Prison in Arizona. I'm going to be like Johnny Cash with tits."
"I've done Iraq; I've done the prison, what's next? Kathy Does the Vatican."
Griffin on hosting the Gay Porn Awards:
"This is the one place in the world that I amI'm Brangelina here."
"Some looks are timeless. A harness? Never goes out of style. Assless chaps? Merry Christmas or Happy Fourth of July."
"How may people can say, 'I do gay porn, but not the sex, just the acting'? So, good for them. They're thespians."
