"PRIMETIME: THE OUTSIDERS" EXAMINES THE UNUSUAL LIFE OF GENETIC SEXUAL ATTRACTION, PLUS A MAN WHO CLAIMS TO BE JESUS, WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 22 ON ABC

From a sister falling in love with and planning to marry her half-brother to a man in Houston, TX who claims to be Jesus, "Primetime: The Outsiders" examines people who live by their own rules and in their own worlds worlds that the average person may find unimaginable. "Primetime: The Outsiders" airs WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 22 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

The thought of a woman falling in love with her half-brother whom she meets for the first time as an adult is unacceptable to most people, but some in the mental health community say it's a real phenomenon known as genetic sexual attraction. John Quiones examines why a person might fall in love with someone who has the same DNA. "Primetime" meets a woman and her half-brother who've been living together as husband and wife since just after they met seven years ago, at the age of 27. They have plans to marry, just like any other couple, and believe they should have the right. But they haven't yet told the neighbors or their church that they're blood relatives. Quiones also interviews a mother who gave up her son for adoption at birth and who, upon meeting him for the first time as a young adult, says she felt a sexual attraction to him. "Primetime: The Outsiders" reports on people who fall in love with a long-lost relative. This report originally aired in February 2007.

Then: Is the second coming of Jesus actually alive and well in Houston, TX? "Primetime" investigates, taking viewers into the world of the controversial man who claims to be Jesus. Jos Luis De Jess Miranda says he had a vision that turned him from the man of God to God himself. The whisky-drinking father of five claims he was born again in prison while serving time for theft. Who believes him? Thousands of followers do. They listen each week by internet and satellite TV to the man they believe is Jesus. The once heroin-addicted, 62-year-old from Puerto Rico preaches a particular gospel -- his interpretation of the Bible according to the apostle Paul. The self-proclaimed Jesus does not believe in sin, hell, the devil or damnation of any kind. He says there is no need for prayer. In fact, many of his believers tattoo themselves with 666. His believers reject organized religion and demonstrate in front of churches by burning pictures of the Pope and other religious leaders. This report originally aired in March 2007.

Jim Avila takes a closer look at this self-declared Jesus Cristo Hombre -- the Man Christ Jesus. De Jess takes "Primetime" on a tour of the poor neighborhood where he grew up in Puerto Rico and where many detest him and don't want him there. The program examines the questions of his money and what he teaches children, and speaks to his followers about their faith in him. There is no doubt that De Jess practices an unconventional faith -- but is he dangerous?

David Sloan is the executive producer of "Primetime: The Outsiders."
