CHILLING VIDEO DIARIES REVEAL THE INTIMATE THOUGHTS OF A SUBURBAN WIFE, MOTHER AND NURSE ON TRIAL FOR THE GRUESOME MURDER OF HER HUSBAND -- ON THE SEASON PREMIERE OF "48 HOURS MYSTERY" ON SATURDAY, SEPT. 29
Chilling video diaries capture the intimate thoughts and emotions of Melanie McGuire, a woman known in her community as a caring wife, mother and nurse, as she stands trial for the gruesome murder of her husband. The videos, which McGuire recorded throughout the trial from her quiet bedroom near the New Jersey shore, provide a rare glimpse into the mind of a complex woman - a woman the prosecution believes was capable of killing her husband, dismembering his body and placing it into three suitcases before driving 300 miles and tossing his remains into the Chesapeake Bay.
The video diary, as well as interviews with McGuire and others associated with this bizarre case, will be featured in correspondent Maureen Maher's report on the season premiere of 48 HOURS MYSTERY on Saturday, Sept. 29 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
48 HOURS MYSTERY is produced by Liza Finley and Gail Zimmerman and Anthony Batson is the senior producer. Al Briganti is the executive editor and Susan Zirinsky is the executive producer.
