NEW GAMES FOR EPISODE FIVE OF "I SURVIVED A JAPANESE GAME SHOW," AIRING TUESDAY, JULY 22 ON ABC

Mary Greenawalt Eliminated on Last Night's Episode

The craziness continues for Americans competing in Japan when "Episode 105" of "I Survived a Japanese Game Show" airs TUESDAY, JULY 22 (9:01-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. Mary Greenawalt (Matthews, NC) was eliminated on last night's episode.

Here are the games in the new hour:

STICKY STICKY BANG BANG!

One teammate is dressed in Velcro and suspended by a wire and his or her teammates shoot and toss projectiles from the opposite side of the game platform onto the Velcro suit. The opposing team pulls the suspended teammate from side to side, making it hard for the objects to stick and be caught. The goal of the game is to attach as many projectiles as possible onto the Velcro suit in the allotted time.

YOU SWING AND HOPE FOR THE BEST!

Each contestant swings on ropes from a platform into a line of seven doors, one-at-a-time, trying to find the three solid doors in the fastest time. In true Japanese game show form, the remaining four breakaway doors each have a ridiculous surprise waiting behind them for the contestants.

"I Survived A Japanese Game Show" is a hilarious, behind-the-scenes and ground-breaking show giving 10 Americans � many of whom have never traveled outside the United States � a real, life-changing adventure by whisking them away to Tokyo to compete in the ultimate Japanese game show. Each week a player will be eliminated and the final winner will take home $250,000.

Guiding the players through their stay in Japan are host/tour guide Tony Sano ("Spring Break in Japan," "Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight"), an American actor fluent in Japanese; a house mother where the players live and resident pot-stirrer, Mamasan; and the witty game show host Rome Kanda ("Pink Panther," "Saturday Night Live"), who leads the American contestants through all of the zany games.

The executive producers are Arthur Smith and Kent Weed (A. Smith & Co., "Kitchen Nightmares," "Hell's Kitchen"), David Sidebotham, Karsten Bartholin and Tim Crescenti, from a concept by Babyfoot APS Denmark.

"I Survived a Japanese Game Show" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound and Spanish subtitles via secondary closed captioning. This program carries a TV-PG,L parental guideline.
