Call up the family troops for the hilarious action/comedy, "The Pacifier," airing as the "ABC Saturday Movie of the Week," JANUARY 17 (8:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. (Rebroadcast. OAD 5/19/07)

Navy Seal Lt. Shane Wolf (Vin Diesel) and his team of commandos are assigned to rescue and return a highly important scientist holding super-confidential information, Howard Plummer (Tate Donovan). Tragically, when Wolf and his squad close in to free Plummer, everything goes horribly wrong -- Plummer is killed. Following the failed mission, Wolf's captain gives him a new assignment -- to guard the Plummer children from their late father's enemies. Knowing the family is in real potential danger, he takes on the assignment to redeem himself. But he'll do so alone, as Plummer's wife, Julie (Faith Ford), is off to Switzerland to try and retrieve some of her deceased husband's belongings. For all his battle experience, Wolf has his hands full with these kids and soon finds himself on his toughest mission yet.

"The Pacifier" stars Vin Diesel as Shane Wolf, Faith Ford (TV's "Hope & Faith") as Julie Plummer, Brad Garrett (TV's "Everybody Loves Raymond") as Vice Principal Murney, Lauren Graham ("Gimore Girls") as Principal Claire Fetcher and Brittany Snow ("John Tucker Must Die") as Zoe Plummer.

The film, released in 2005, was directed by Adam Shankman and written by Thomas Lennon and Ben Garant. "The Pacifier" is a production of Walt Disney Pictures and Spyglass Entertainment
