Another Dance-Off with a Double Elimination Sends Two Couples Home
"Episode 907A" The remaining seven couples face the Dance-Off double elimination as the tenth and eleventh couples eliminated from the competition are announced, on "Dancing with the Stars the Results Show," TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.
Performing for the first time on the "Dancing with the Stars" stage as the Ballas Hough Band, "Dancing with the Stars'" own professional dancers Mark Ballas and Derek Hough will unveil their new song, "Move," from their upcoming album. Immediately after the broadcast, the song will be available for download on iTunes. Described as a sexy, hard-driving club track, "Move" reveals the evolving musical direction of Ballas Hough. Though steeped in rock and pop music all their lives, the two have taken their sound and infused it with a more rhythmic club groove, as the new song shows. Singing about a chance romantic encounter out on the dance floor, Mark and Derek trade vocals over the song's hypnotic melody and insistent beat. Ballas Hough, which made its Hollywood Records album debut earlier this year with "BHB," has been in the studio working with top producers and songwriters such as The Movement (Jesse McCartney & Justin Bieber) and Andre Merritt, who wrote chart-topping tracks for Chris Brown, Jesse McCartney and Rihanna.
Rod Stewart takes to the "Dancing with the Stars" stage for a special performance of "It's the Same Old Song" from his just released album, "Soulbook," a collection of classic Sixties/Seventies-era soul favorites, all newly recorded by the quintessential "blue eyed soul" singer of our generation. "Soulbook" is a long-awaited celebration of the music that is closest to this Grammy-Award winning, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer's heart. It features his renditions of such immortal songs as "My Cherie Amour," "You Make Me Feel Brand New" featuring Mary J.Blige, "Let It Be Me" featuring Jennifer Hudson, and "Tracks of My Tears." "Soulbook" is a loving tribute to a glorious period in pop historyand a logical extension of Stewart's Grammy-Award winning Great American Songbook albums, which have sold over 19 million copies, making them the biggest selling ongoing series of new music recordings ever. With an estimated 250 million in album and single sales, Stewart is also one of the most successful performers of all time. His last five studio albums have held the top spots on the Billboard charts, including his last release, 2006's "Still The SameGreat Rock Classics of Our Time," which entered the charts at No. 1.
Multi platinum recording artist Colbie Caillat performs her hit single "Fallin' for You" from her sophomore album, "Breakthrough," which was released earlier this year. The new album features collaborations with Grammy-winning songsmiths Kara Dioguardi and Rick Nowels and producer/songwriter John Shanks. The album debuted atop the Billboard 200, giving Caillat her first No. 1 album. She also topped the Billboard Top Digital Albums chart and the Top Rock Albums chart.
The Malibu-based singer/songwriter's smoky vocal stylings and infectious melodies captured a global following with the hit song "Bubbly" from her double platinum trailblazing debut album "Coco" (2007). She will be accompanied by "Dancing with the Stars" professional dancers Alec Mazo and Edyta Sliwinska.
For the second time this season, the couple with the lowest combined scores will be eliminated while the second and third couple with lowest combined scores will face the judges one last time in a Dance-Off to save their spot in the competition. The two couples will perform a short dance routine of their choosing that they have secretly prepared for the Dance-Off, and the judges' scores for the Dance-Off routine will determine their fate.
By evening's end two couples will be eliminated, as determined by a combination of the judges' scores and viewers' votes, along with the rankings from the Dance-Off dance. Who among the following 7 teams will leave the ballroom floor?
AARON CARTER (pop star) and partner KARINA SMIRNOFF.
MARK DACASCOS ("Iron Chef America" star) and partner LACEY SCHWIMMER.
MICHAEL IRVIN (NFL Hall of Famer) and partner, Season 8's Professional Dancer Competition winner ANNA DEMIDOVA.
JOANNA KRUPA (model) and partner, Season 7 champ DEREK HOUGH.
MYA (award winning singer) and partner DMITRY CHAPLIN.
KELLY OSBOURNE (reality star) and partner LOUIS VAN AMSTEL.
DONNY OSMOND (showbiz legend) and partner KYM JOHNSON.
