A MODERN-DAY NOAH'S ARK

As more and more species on earth go the way of the dinosaurs, scientists are using cutting edge techniques to try to save some of these animals from extinction. Using DNA technology, scientists are attempting to clone endangered animals using their non-endangered relatives as a way to re-propagate a threatened species, like the African wildcat. In a modern day version of Noah's Ark, they are also collecting and storing DNA samples of thousands of other animals, so if they ever become endangered or go extinct, their species can potentially be revived.
