ON SATURDAY'S "48 HOURS MYSTERY," A TEENAGER'S MOTHER IS MURDERED MORE THAN A YEAR AFTER HER FATHER MET THE SAME FATE - WERE THE DEATHS CONNECTED?
"MY MOTHER'S MURDER"
SATURDAY, JULY 28 (10:00 PM, ET/PT)
Noura Jackson suffered the unimaginable - both of her parents were murdered. As 48 HOURS MYSTERY correspondent Richard Schlesinger reports in this update, Noura was a rebellious teenager in 2004 when her estranged father was shot dead. His murder was still unsolved when, 15 months later, Noura's mother, Jennifer, was stabbed more than 50 times in her Memphis, Tenn., home. Noura told investigators she found her mother lying dead in her bedroom. Police, struggling with the lack of physical evidence at the crime scene, soon zeroed in on a suspect - Noura - who had told conflicting stories about what she was up to before calling 911 to report her mother's death. Supporters say there's no way Noura could be involved, describing her as a devoted, loving daughter. So what happened? Schlesinger details a case that shocked the community in "48 HOURS MYSTERY: My Mother's Murder."
