FOUR VALLEY GIRLS PUT THEIR FRIENDSHIP TO THE ULTIMATE TEST ON AN ALL-NEW EPISODE OF 'THE LETTER' AIRING OCTOBER 18 ON FREEFORM
Zelda Williams ('Dead of Summer') Narrates
Four best friends from San Fernando Valley decide to put their friendship to the test when they write honest, anonymous letters to each other, on an all-new episode of "The Letter," airing TUESDAY, OCTOBER 18 (9:00-10:00 p.m. EDT), on Freeform.
In the episode, titled "LA Valley Girls," four close friends from the outskirts of Los Angeles decide to take The Letter challenge. They will each draw names and anonymously write to the selected person a letter outlining their opinion of what behavior or actions need to be changed. Will this ultimate test of their friendship bond them or tear them apart?
· Jasmin is the life of the party, but her indecision and second guessing herself drives her friends crazy.
· Michelle is the lazy one of the group who doesn't like to do any kind of work. Her friends feel her spoiled lifestyle is causing life to pass her by.
· Anna is the selfie queen who is obsessed with how many likes and follows she gets on social media, and won't ever leave the house without being made up.
· Shabby refuses to share and finds it impossible to part with any of her belongings, including her favorite clothes from middle school.
When each girl receives their letter, they are required to follow all of the letter's instructions for one week. Anna has to take a makeup-less selfie and lock up her phone; Shabby has to get rid of half of her clothes; Michelle is forced to do some hard labor; and Jasmin is confronted with several choices, pushing her to make quick decisions on her own.
"The Letter" is a bold, new relationship show that asks the simple question: "If you could anonymously tell your best friend in a letter the things that he or she really needed to hear, would you do it?" In each stand-alone episode, four friends draw names and anonymously write to the selected person a thoughtful, yet totally honest letter outlining their opinion of what needs to be changed in order to improve and transform their friend's life for the better. For one week, each "reader" must follow all the rules and instructions outlined in the letter - culminating in a dramatic and emotionally charged meeting where the authors of each letter reveal themselves to their best friends. The series is narrated by actress Zelda Williams ("Dead of Summer").
"The Letter" is produced by Sirens Media, part of Leftfield Entertainment, an ITV America company. Executive producers for Sirens Media are Rebecca Toth Diefenbach, Valerie Haselton, Lucilla D'Agostino, Jack Mori and Arthur Borman. Zelda Williams serves as producer.
