FOUR SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA COLLEGE ROOMMATES FORCE EACH OTHER TO GET OUT OF THEIR COMFORT ZONES ON AN ALL-NEW EPISODE OF 'THE LETTER,' AIRING NOVEMBER 8, ON FREEFORM
Zelda Williams ('Dead of Summer') Narrates
Four inseparable Southern California roommates agree to force each other to go on personalized adventures, well out of their comfort zones, on an all-new episode of "The Letter," airing TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 8 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EST), on Freeform.
In the episode titled "College Kids," four joined-at-the-hip roommates decide to take The Letter challenge. They will each draw names and anonymously write a letter to the selected person outlining their opinion of what behavior or actions need to change. Will baring themselves to their friends bond them or leave them feeling vulnerable?
· Mature beyond her years, Kiersten is the responsible one of the group. Coming from a difficult family life, she learned to grow up fast often getting anxiety attacks and always worrying about things.
· Atty, the comedian of the group, grabs life with both hands. As a double major student, she's always taking on new challenges. She likes to help the under-represented, but that leaves her overworked and bottling up her stress.
· The epitome of a good guy, Emerson is the support system for the girls. As a result, too many people take advantage of him, and the girls want to see him embrace his inner warrior and stand up for himself.
· Alana, the health nut, is a powerhouse around her friends, but too timid to go after her dreams in her studies and career choices.
When each friend receives their letter, they are required to follow all of the letter's instructions for one week. Kiersten takes an equine therapy class; Atty has to bare herself both emotionally and physically; Emerson has to fly in a combat plane, experiencing what it's like to be a fighter pilot for the day; and Alana must film herself giving interviews to total strangers.
"The Letter" is a bold, new relationship show that asks the simple question: "If you could anonymously tell your best friend in a letter the things that he or she really needed to hear, would you do it?" In each stand-alone episode, four friends draw names and anonymously write to the selected person a thoughtful, yet totally honest letter outlining their opinion of what needs to be changed in order to improve and transform their friend's life for the better. For one week, each "reader" must follow all the rules and instructions outlined in the letter - culminating in a dramatic and emotionally charged meeting where the authors of each letter reveal themselves to their best friends. The series is narrated by actress Zelda Williams ("Dead of Summer").
"The Letter" is produced by Sirens Media, part of Leftfield Entertainment, an ITV America company. Executive producers for Sirens Media are Rebecca Toth Diefenbach, Valerie Haselton, Lucilla D'Agostino, Jack Mori and Arthur Borman. Zelda Williams serves as producer.
