FOUR BELLES OF THE BALL NEED TO FACE SOME PAINFUL TRUTHS ON AN EMOTIONAL EPISODE OF 'THE LETTER,' AIRING NOVEMBER 29, ON FREEFORM

Zelda Williams ('Dead of Summer') Narrates

Four girls from Atlanta are the very best of friends, sharing everything with each other - or so they think. In reality, several of them have been harboring heartbreaking secrets that have had unintentional consequences on their relationships with one another. "The Letter," airs TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 29 (9:00-10:00 p.m. EST), on Freeform.

In the episode titled "Atlanta Belles," four best friends love to party and have a great time together, but each girl has at least one self-destructive habit. What they don't know is that some of the girls have been keeping painful secrets that in turn have been affecting their friendships. They decide to take The Letter challenge in hopes of facing the truth and making changes that can only help their futures. They will draw names and anonymously write an honest letter to the selected person outlining their opinion of what behaviors need to change.

· Candice is the sweet one of the group, but she's so preoccupied with her looks that it takes her hours to get ready just to go out. Her friends feel like she uses makeup and her hair as her security blankets and want her to face her fears and realize she's beautiful just as she is.

· Megan is the party girl, always up for having a good time. She doesn't work, but she loves to shop and show off her new purchases. The girls love her energy, but think she's living a superficial life. What they don't know is that she had a very rough childhood she's kept repressed all these years.

· Nancy was once heavier due to a medical condition she has never told the girls about. She lost the pounds, but now her weight has become an unhealthy obsession for her. She's passed out several times from not eating and her friends are worried she'll do permanent damage to herself if she doesn't seek medical attention.

· Teal is the literal and figurative mother of the group. She adores her five-year-old daughter, but in order to take care of her, Teal has had to accept financial support from her ex, while she works a job that is not financially stable. The girls want her to quit her dead end job and seek employment elsewhere so that she can raise her daughter independently.

When each friend receives their letter, they are required to follow all of the letter's instructions for one week. Candice has to go makeup free and cut off her long locks; Megan has to volunteer at a food bank; Teal has to meet with a life coach; and Nancy has to seek help for her eating disorder.

"The Letter" is a bold, relationship show that asks the simple question: "If you could anonymously tell your best friend in a letter the things that he or she really needed to hear, would you do it?" In each stand-alone episode, four friends draw names and anonymously write to the selected person a thoughtful, yet totally honest letter outlining their opinion of what needs to be changed in order to improve and transform their friend's life for the better. For one week, each "reader" must follow all the rules and instructions outlined in the letter - culminating in a dramatic and emotionally charged meeting where the authors of each letter reveal themselves to their best friends. The series is narrated by actress Zelda Williams ("Dead of Summer").

"The Letter" is produced by Sirens Media, part of Leftfield Entertainment, an ITV America company. Executive producers for Sirens Media are Rebecca Toth Diefenbach, Valerie Haselton, Lucilla D'Agostino, Jack Mori and Arthur Borman. Zelda Williams serves as producer.
