"Episode 106" - Celebrity judges Dana Carvey, "black-ish"'s Tracee Ellis Ross and Anthony Anderson are set to praise, critique and gong unusually talented and unique performers, on "The Gong Show," MONDAY, JULY 10 (10:01-11:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network. British comedic legend Tommy Maitland hosts. Music is provided by the house band Wilder Zoby and the Gong Show Orchestra.
Tonight's acts include a contortionist who can artistically impersonate a tree, a girl who performs an upside-down handstand while she chases Tommy around the stage, a crazy cat lady performing a cat song, and bug exterminators playing the song "Toxic" on violin while spraying human cockroaches with CO2 guns.
At the end of the show, the winning act with the highest judges' scores will receive a fabulous "The Gong Show" trophy and a check for $2,000 and 17 cents.
"The Gong Show" is produced by Den of Thieves, Electric Avenue Productions and Principato Young Entertainment in association with Sony Pictures Television and is taped in front of a live audience. "The Gong Show" is executive produced by Will Arnett, Evan Prager, Jesse Ignjatovic, Conrad Green, Peter Principato and Marc Forman. Jared Morell, Jordan Barrow, David Bohnert, Chris Choun and Dan Norris are co-executive producers.
"The Gong Show" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format with a 5.1 channel surround sound. A TV parental guideline will be assigned closer to the airdate.
