The Whitstable Pearl is thriving and so is Pearl's (Kerry Godliman, After Life, Our Girl) detective sideline. After a short hiatus, DCI Mike McGuire (Howard Charles, Top Boy, Shadow and Bone) returns to Whitstable, reenergized, and determined to make progress in his quest for self-healing. He and Pearl continue to make a formidable team as they work through various cases together - Pearl never needing Mike's help as much as he needs hers! As cracks start to show in Pearl and Tom's relationship, and Mike finally comes to terms with how his wife died, will Pearl and Mike finally acknowledge their deep feelings for one another?

DESCRIPTION:
(from Acorn TV's web site, October 2024) With her son grown, single mum Pearl (Kerry Godliman, After Life) pursues her lifelong dream and starts a private detective agency, which she runs from her family restaurant in the coastal town of Whitstable. Drawn by her caring nature, locals soon flock to her with all kinds of cases. But when a friend dies suspiciously, Pearl finds herself in conflict with gruff new cop in town DCI Mike McGuire.
