AHSOKA (Disney+) - Lars Mikkelsen has been confirmed as the live-action portrayer of Grand Admiral Thrawn, after originating his voice on "Star Wars Rebels." (TVLine.com, 4/8)
AMERICAN HORROR STORY (FX) - Kim Kardashian will join Emma Roberts in the anthology's upcoming 12th season, the first to be written and showrun by a single writer, Halley Feiffer. (THR.com)
BUYING BEVERLY HILLS (Netflix) - The streamer has renewed the property reality series for a second season. (Deadline.com)
JUMP START (CBS) - Rob Corddry and Glynn Turman will round out the cast of the comedy pilot. The former will play Crunchy, Joe's (Terry Crews) police partner and best friend; and the latter will guest star as Joe's "Pop" Frank, "who is retired from the force now but still has more "street cred" than his son." LAW & ORDER/LAW & ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME/LAW & ORDER: SVU (NBC) - The franchise's just announced renewals have been confirmed as 22 episodes for "Law & Order" and "SVU" with only 13 for "Organized Crime." (Variety.com)
PENGUIN, THE (HBO Max) - Carmen Ejogo, François Chau and David H. Holmes are set for recurring roles on "The Batman" follow-up series. No details however were given. (Variety.com)
UNTITLED STRANGER THINGS ANIMATED SERIES (Netflix, New!) - The streaming service has greenlit an animated series set in the show's universe. No other specifics were given other than Flying Bark Productions is behind the project with Eric Robles developing. The Duffer Brothers of Upside Down Pictures and Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen of 21 Laps Entertainment will likewise executive produce. (Deadline.com)
VALERIE'S HOME COOKING (Food Network) - Valerie Bertinelli took to social media on Saturday with the news the upcoming 14th season will be the show's last. (@wolfiesmom, 4/8)
WOLF (NBC) - Teddy Sears and Tamberla Perry are set to star opposite Zachary Quinto in the medical drama pilot. Sears will play Josh Nichols, "a neurosurgeon who left a private practice in San Francisco to work at Bronx General. Josh is clinical, exacting and relies on technology to treat his patients - the opposite of Wolf. The two will go toe-to-toe and develop a competitive relationship full of tension." And Perry is set as Carol Pierce, "the head of psychology at Bronx General and Wolf's longtime friend. She works as one of the most sought-after psychiatrists in the city while also navigating a strained personal relationship at the hospital. She recruits Wolf to work alongside her at Bronx General to create a neuropsychology dream team, helping patients who have been deemed hopeless." (Deadline.com)
