ACCUSED (FOX) - Debra Winger, Mercedes Ruehl and Christine Ebersole will drop by the anthology series' episode "Margot's Story" which "follows a widow who finds herself on trial after a relationship with a ballroom dance instructor goes too far." Said installment will also feature season one guest Matthew James Thomas in a new role. (Deadline.com, 8/19)
AGENCY, THE (Showtime) - The Michael Fassbender-led drama has cast Alex Reznik as Coyote, "an undercover CIA agent"; Andrew Brooke as "another CIA officer who goes by Grandpa"; Harriet Sansom Harris as Dr. Blake, "a behavioral psychologist assigned to the agency"; India Fowler as "Martian's teenage daughter, Poppy"; and Saura Lightfoot-Leon as Danny, "a promising agent trainee." ALL HER FAULT (Peacock) - Jay Ellis, Thomas Cocquerel, Daniel Monks, Duke McCloud and Kartiah Vergara are all bound for the Sarah Snook-led drama series. They'll play Colin, Richie, Brian, Milo and Ana, respectively. (Variety.com, 8/21)
ASSASSIN, THE (Amazon, New!) - Keeley Hawes and Freddie Highmore will topline a six-episode drama series at the streamer: "Secluded on a remote Greek island, retired assassin Julie (Hawes) has a somewhat thorny reunion with her estranged son, Edward (Highmore), visiting from England. Armed with questions around new information on his paternity, Edward battles to find the right time to speak to his frustratingly distant mother. But when the moment finally presents itself, things take a deadly turn as Julie's dangerous past catches up with her and they are forced to flee the island and go on the run together. Edward's quest for truth clashes with Julie's secrecy whilst they are forced to work together in a fight for survival, testing their dysfunctional relationship to its limits. Amid uncovering a dark conspiracy they believe to be their only threat, a greater danger emerges that will destroy their relationship entirely. In a race against time, Julie fights to save Edward and salvage their relationship as past and present collide in a showdown across the globe." Gina Gershon, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Jack Davenport, Alan Dale, Gerald Kyd, Devon Terrell, Richard Dormer and David Dencik also star in the project, from Harry and Jack Williams. BATMAN: CAPED CRUSADER/DUSTER/PRESUMED INNOCENT (Various) - J.J. Abrams's Bad Robot is in advanced negotiations with Warner Bros. Television for a multi-year extension of its overall deal, its home for the past 18 years. (Deadline.com, 8/19)
CHAD POWERS (Hulu) - The Glen Powell-led comedy series has added Quentin Plair as Coach Byrd and Wynn Everett as Tricia. No other details were given. (Deadline.com, 8/20)
CRYSTAL LAKE (Peacock) - Brad Caleb Kane has been tapped as the new showrunner of the long-in-the-works prequel series. He succeeds Bryan Fuller, who exited back in May. (Deadline.com, 8/19)
DEBRIEFING THE PRESIDENT (TNT, New!) - AR Content and Big Dreams Entertainment have landed a four-hour miniseries at the cable channel: "Debriefing the President (w/t) is the story about a man's relentless quest for truth, a nation's complicated campaign for justice, and the bonds between fathers and sons. It tells, for the first time, the intimate story of two men at the heart of one of the 21st Century's most formative conflicts. In 2003, John Nixon, a CIA analyst became the first American to positively identify and interrogate Saddam Hussein. During their time together, Nixon began to understand the potential consequences of the invasion, the humanitarian horrors and geopolitical turbulences that would follow Saddam's deposing." Executive producers are Alexander Rodnyansky, Joel Kinnaman, Stuart Manashil, Michael Kupisk, Peter Gerwe, Shelley Browning, and Leslie Greif with Cristi Bostanescu and Eric Tomosunas as producers and Krzysztof Skonieczny directing. ENVOY, THE (Hulu, New!) - Alexi Hawley's proposed drama series has landed at the streaming service: "Created by Hawley, The Envoy is inspired by journalist and producer Adam Ciralsky's June 2024 Vanity Fair story about Roger Carstens and his team at the State Department who have brought home 70 American hostages during the past four years." Hawley, Ciralsky and Gene Klein will executive produce for Perfectman Pictures, P3 Media, Lionsgate Television and ABC Signature. (Deadline.com, 8/22)
FBI (CBS) - Lisette Olivera is joining the cast of the veteran drama while Katherine Renee Kane's Tiffany Wallace is exiting. No reason for the latter's departure was given, who will appear in at least one episode. Olivera will play Syd, "a trained Behavioral Analysis Unit Agent who is about to rotate into the field." FOURTH WING (Amazon) - Liz Pelletier and Sherryl Clark's newly formed Premeditated Productions has signed a three-year first-look deal with Amazon MGM Studios. Pelletier's Entangled Publishing will license its extensive back catalog to the company. (Variety.com, 8/20)
GODFATHER OF HARLEM (MGM+) - Erik Palladino will recur on the new season as Pino Greco, "a fearsome hitman and high-ranking underboss of the Genovese crime family. Greco is a prolific and ruthless killer who throughout the season descends into a deadly power struggle with Chin Gigante's daughter Stella for control of the Family's fortunes." (Deadline.com, 8/19)
GOOD DOCTOR, THE (ABC) - Creator David Shore has signed a three-year overall deal with 20th Television, ending his decade plus run at Sony Pictures Television. (Deadline.com, 8/21)
GRAYS, THE (Netflix, New!) - Katie Rose Rogers has sold a new drama to the streamer billed as "a contemporary take on the Oscar Wilde classic about our fascination with eternal youth set against the backdrop of the modern beauty industry. In a twist on the gothic novel, the series revolves around siblings Basil and Doran Gray." Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman, Robbie Rogers, showrunner Rina Mimoun and director Lee Toland Krieger will also executive produce for the Warner Bros. Television-based Berlanti Productions. (Deadline.com, 8/20)
HIGH POTENTIAL (ABC) - Taran Killam will recur on the Kaitlin Olson-led newcomer as Ludo Radovic, "the salt-of-the-earth, kind-hearted, and disarmingly funny ex of Morgan (Olson) and the father of Elliott (Matthew Lamb) and Chloe. As she consults for the LAPD, Morgan heavily leans on Ludo as the primary caregiver for Ava (Amira J), Elliott, and Chloe." (Deadline.com, 8/21)
LEGENDS (Netflix, New!) - Neil Forsyth has booked a six-part series at the streamer: "In the early 1990s, at the height of the international war on drugs, the government agency in charge of Britain's borders, Her Majesty's Customs and Excise, realized that they were losing the battle against drug smuggling. Their solution was extraordinary. In a top-secret operation, a small team of British Customs employees were sent undercover. Their task - to infiltrate Britain's most dangerous drug gangs. They were not trained spies. These were ordinary men and women, plucked from ordinary lives around the U.K, put through a basic training regime then told to build new identities in the criminal underworld. These identities were called Legends." Ben Farrell and Richard Bradley will also executive produce for Tannadice Pictures and Lion Television with Charlie Leech producing. (Variety.com, 8/21)

LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO (NBC, New!) - Leila Cohan has sold a new drama to the network which "follows the ex-wives of an emotionally abusive and absolutely untouchable billionaire. They band together to wreak revenge." Anna Fricke and Laura Terry of Pursued by a Bear Productions will also executive produce for CBS Studios. (Deadline.com, 8/21)
MATLOCK (CBS) - Andrea Londo will recur on the freshman drama as Simone, "a new junior associate at the law firm who remembers Sarah (Leah Lewis) fondly from law school. However, Sarah believes she is her arch nemesis and in this competitive environment it's hard to know who to trust." (Deadline.com, 8/20)
OBITUARY (Hulu) - The Siobhán Cullen-led comedy series is on track to return for a second season of six episodes. (Variety.com, 8/21)
PACIFIC RIM (New!) - Eric Heisserer and Carmen Lewis's Chronology has signed a first-look television deal with Legendary Entertainment where they'll develop new series projects, including a "Pacific Rim" origin story series. (Variety.com, 8/19)
POLTERGEIST (Amazon) - Kalinda Vazquez and Robbie Thompson have been tapped to spearhead the TV series at Amazon MGM Studios, inspired by the iconic 1982 horror film. Plot details remain under wraps. Amblin Television's Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey will also executive produce. (Variety.com, 8/19)
RAINMAKER, THE (USA Network) - Milo Callaghan, Lana Parrilla and P.J. Byrne have all been cast in the series, based on John Grisham's novel of the same name. Callagan will star as Rudy Baylor: "Fresh out of law school, Rudy is an inexperienced attorney with a medical malpractice case against legendary attorney Leo F. Drummond (Slattery) that exposes a shocking conspiracy." Parrilla will play "brash, ballsy street lawyer Jocelyn "Bruiser" Stone who heads her disgraced father, J. Lyman Stone's strip-mall law firm." And Byrne is Deck Shifflet, "a no-filter, shoot-from-the-hip law school grad who failed the bar seven times. He now operates as an unsentimental "paralawyer" at J. Lyman Stone." (Deadline.com, 8/22)
RUNAROUNDS, THE (Amazon) - Brooklyn Decker, Maximo Salas, Marley Aliah, Hayes MacArthur, Mark Wystrach and Shea Pritchard have all been cast in the YA drama. No details however were given about their roles. William Lipton, Axel Ellis, Jeremy Yun, Zendé Murdock, Jesse Golliher, Lilah Pate and Kelley Pereira also star. (Deadline.com, 8/19)

UNTITLED OWEN WILSON PROJECT (Apple TV+) - Timothy Olyphant will guest on Owen Wilson's golf comedy series as Clark, "a successful, former golf pro who once toured with Pryce." (Variety.com, 8/20)
UNTITLED RENEE BALLARD BOSCH SPIN-OFF PROJECT (Amazon) - The Maggie Q-led series has cast Ricardo Chavira as Robert Olivas, "a well-respected, charming and charismatic detective, who shares a complicated past with Ballard"; Noah Bean as Jake Pearlman, "a savvy yet altruistic politician who goes out on a limb to bolster the Cold Case Unit in order to solve the murder of his sister"; Alain Uy as Nelson Hastings, "a shrewd and ambitious political animal; he's been friends with Jake Pearlman (Bean) since high school and will do whatever is needed to support Jake"; and Hector Hugo as Captain Berchem, "an RHD captain and man of the people, a real "cops cop" who took a leap on Ballard and cares deeply about justice and the integrity of his team." WATERFRONT, THE (Netflix) - Maria Bello will star opposite Holt McCallany in Kevin Williamson's new drama as Mae Buckley, "a complex woman who's married to Harlan (McCallany) and the mother of their two children. After her husband took a step back from the family business, together with their son, she has been running the fishery in very questionable ways in a desperate attempt to save the family." WILL TRENT (ABC) - Gina Rodriguez has signed onto the show's new season as Marion Alba, "a charismatic, confident Assistant District Attorney new to Atlanta. After her first encounter with Will falls flat, the pair is surprised to learn that they must work together to investigate a crime in the world of Atlanta gangs." (Deadline.com, 8/19)
