CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- NBC Enterprises, the Peacock's syndication arm, has told affiliates neither "The Weakest Link" nor "The Other Half" will return for third seasons this fall.
The news comes after lukewarm attempts to clear both series for the 2003-04 season at this year's NATPE convention. "Link" will continue to run repeats and originals through July while "Half" will close its run in May.
Currently, "The Other Half" is averaging a paltry 0.8 rating, making it the least watched talk show in daytime. "The Weakest Link," hosted by George Gray, is averaging a 1.8 rating, putting it in the bottom third of the game/relationship syndie genre.
Meanwhile, "She Spies," a joint syndication effort between NBC Enterprises and MGM, will continue for a second season. Season to-date, "She Spies" is averaging a respectable 2.0 household rating, behind only "Stargate SG-1," "Mutant X" and "Andromeda" among first-run weeklies.
