Development Update: June 10

CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- The latest development news, culled from recent wire reports:

ACCESS HOLLYWOOD (Syndication) - NBC Enterprises is looking into several spin-offs of the syndicated entertainment news show, including a new tween variation, a game show, a possible entertainment business news production for CNBC and more. Already set to go is the tween version, which will bow on kids channel Noggin this fall. Additionally, the series will continue to produce spots for NBC's "Today" and "Dateline" franchises as well as six specials for cable channel VH1.

AGAINST THEIR WILL: THE ANDREW LUSTER CASE (Lifetime, New!) - Jason Gedrick ("Boomtown") and Marla Sokoloff ("The Practice") have signed on for the cable channel's latest telefilm. Gedrick will play Luster, a real-life millionaire fugitive who sexually assaulted several women, one of which will be played by Sokoloff.

CELEBRITY MOLE YUCATAN (ABC) - Production has been completed on the second "Celebrity Mole" installment. Newcomers Ananda Lewis, Mark Curry, Angie Everhart, Tracy Gold, Keisha Knight-Pulliam and Dennis Rodman and returning celebrities Stephen Baldwin and Corbin Bernsen, all took part in the seven episode series which is set to air later this year on the channel. Ahmad Rashad also resumed hosting duties on the series.

THE DATING EXPERIMENT (ABC) - The Alphabet network has once again renamed its take on the Japanese "Future Diary" format. "Experiment" replaces its previous namesakes "Ultimate Dating" and "The Diary Affairs."

PLAYMAKERS (ESPN) - Several cast members have been announced for the sports channel's first original drama series, currently in production in Toronto. Tony Denison ("The DA"), Omar Gooding ("Baby Boy"), Russell Hornsby ("Haunted"), Jason Matthew Smith ("Hollywood Homicide"), Marcello Thedford ("ER") and Chris Wiehl ("C.S.I.") are all on board the football drama which is scheduled to bow August 26.
