DAVID PAREJA WINS FIRST FIGHT ON "THE NEXT GREAT CHAMP"
Former World Heavyweight Champion Larry Holmes To Appear on "The Next Great Champ" Sept. 14 on FOX
David Pareja of Chicago, IL, beat Arsenio Reyes of Miami, FL, in the first elimination fight on last night's series premiere of THE NEXT GREAT CHAMP. [Note: An encore broadcast of this episode will air Friday, Sept. 10 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.]
In the upcoming original episode of THE NEXT GREAT CHAMP, Tuesday, Sept. 14 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX, former World Heavyweight Champion Larry Holmes (1980-1985) will appear. Holmes, who had an overall pro record of 67-6 with 43 knockouts, will introduce a challenge to test the limits of the fighters' power.
Also in the Sept. 14 episode, another $35,000 is on the line and one more boxer will hang up his gloves and go home after the elimination fight; tensions run high as alliances begin to form; and Pareja moves into the winner's room, getting his first taste of the champion lifestyle and the jealousy of the other fighters.
