Highly-Rated Celebrity Blackjack Launches in Conjunction With the 'Bet Your Stars Sweepstakes'

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Sept. 29 -- CELEBRITY BLACKJACK, GSN's highly-rated casino game series is premiering its second season on Tuesday, October 12 at 10:00PM ET/PT and will include the special play along promotion, the "Bet Your Stars Sweepstakes," offering viewers the chance to win a Grand Prize VIP trip for two to Hollywood. The announcement was made today by Dena Kaplan, Senior Vice President, Marketing, GSN.

"The 'Bet Your Stars Sweepstakes' allows our viewers to play along, vote for their favorite stars and have a chance to win fun Hollywood-themed prizes," said Kaplan. "Our interactive sweepstakes are extremely popular and we look forward to gaining and rewarding more viewers who play along with CELEBRITY BLACKJACK."

The Grand Prize package includes a trip for two to Hollywood with round trip airfare, two nights deluxe hotel accommodations, dinner at the chic Ago restaurant in West Hollywood, VIP admission to a Hollywood nightclub, two one-hour massages or facials at the luxurious Spa Agua, and a Sony Studio VIP tour.

Beginning October 6th, viewers can log onto http://www.gsn.com to enter the "Bet Your Stars Sweepstakes" and cast their vote on which star they think will be the winner of each new episode of CELEBRITY BLACKJACK. The opportunity to vote for each week's episode will close ten minutes prior to the initial airing of each new episode in the Eastern time zone. At the conclusion of the promotion, one Grand Prize winner will be randomly selected from the pool of eligible entrants who have correctly selected the winner of any of the 13 new episodes of CELEBRITY BLACKJACK winning player.

In addition to the Grand Prize, one First Prize consisting of a Handspring Treo(TM) 600 Smartphone and ten Second Prizes consisting of a Big Screen Electronic Handheld Blackjack Game by Radica will be awarded in connection with each new episode of CELEBRITY BLACKJACK. In the second season of CELEBRITY BLACKJACK, the first ten episodes will feature four celebrities playing tournament-style blackjack with each respective winner advancing to the semi-finals.

Each player will receive a $10,000 contribution to the charity of his or her choice, with the winner of each game receiving a $25,000 charitable contribution and a place in the semi-finals, which will consist of two games with five players each.

In the semi-finals, the first place winners will receive a $75,000 charitable contribution and the second place winners will receive a $25,000 charitable contribution -- both win a seat in the final game where the four qualifiers compete for a first place prize consisting of a $200,000 charitable contribution and a second place prize of a $50,000 charitable contribution. The first place winner of the series will earn an impressive aggregate total of $300,000 for the charity of his or her choice.
