CONFRONTED BY HIS PAST,
POP STAR-TURNED-"FRANKENSTEIN" MONSTER BOLTS!
When it comes to movie locations, you can't get much more remote than
Slovakia. But the star of "Frankenstein," lensed in the small central European country,
soon learned that the past is always closer than you think.
It's been eons since Luke Goss, who plays the Creature in the Hallmark Channel
Original miniseries, made his mark as half of the smash pop duo Bros. So when the
former teen icon patronized a Slovakian nightclub, he was shocked to hear a Bros hit
being spun by the local DJ.
Recalling his pop icon status, Goss says, "It was a manic, crazy time. [But one
day] I woke up ... and realized I wasn't having fun. I wasn't enjoying myself. It
suddenly felt old for me. At times it felt silly. I didn't know what I was going to do to
inspire me and get me up in the morning and it just terrified me."
So what did Frankenstein's monster do when he heard that haunting melody?
He jumped out the window!
"Frankenstein" premieres Tuesday, October 5 and Wednesday, October 6 (9/8c)
on Hallmark Channel.
