Youve Got A Friend Debuts At 9:30pm ET/PT Flanked By Returning Favorites Pimp My Ride At 9pm ET/PT And Viva La Bam At 10pm ET/PT
New York, NY (October 1, 2004) After a sizzling second season, MTVs Sunday Stew will return on October 24th with a recipe of returning favorites and the all-new series Youve Got A Friend. Executive produced by Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg of Katalyst Films, Youve Got A Friend is guaranteed to make the Stew simmer. Although few details have been released about the new series, when asked, the elusive Kutcher simply stated, For $15,000, would you give the creators of Punkd 48 hours of your time to mess with your life? The answer will be revealed when Youve Got A Friend premieres at 9:30pm ET/PT on Sunday, October 24th.
Ashton assures me that Youve Got A Friend will take messing with peoples heads to a new level, said Lois Curren, EVP of MTV Series Entertainment. I have full confidence that this new show along with Viva La Bam and Pimp My Ride on Sunday nights will connect with the MTV audience in a big way.
MTVs Youve Got A Friend will be flanked by returning Sunday Stew favorites Pimp My Ride at 9pm ET/PT and Viva La Bam at 10pm ET/PT. After an unforgettable first season of turning less-than-luxurious rides into pimped out masterpieces, MTV will head back into the garage with rapper and car enthusiast Xzibit and the guys from West Coast Customs to make the dreams of a few young automotively-challenged fans come true. Also returning are the antics of skateboarding pro and former Jackass star Bam Margera as he lives at home and wreaks havoc on his unsuspecting friends and family in a new season of Viva La Bam. The entire cast of characters is back to see what will happen next, and so too are some new familiar faces including Tommy Lee, Dave Grohl, Pharrell Williams & N.E.R.D, Method Man, Jack Osbourne and Johnny Knoxville who all stop by Bams place to pay a visit.
Youve Got A Friend was created by Tiger Aspect and originally aired in the UK on channel E4 as My New Best Friend.
