BURBANK, Calif. -� October 14, 2004 �- Eion Bailey ("And Starring Pancho Villa as Himself") will guest star in a recurring role on NBC's "ER" (Thursdays, 10-11 p.m. ET) as a medical student who could be a prospective love interest for new Dr. Abby Lockhart (Maura Tierney) later this Fall.

Bailey drew attention for his role as a young member of an American film production that becomes swept up in the 20th century Mexican revolution in the HBO movie "And Starring Pancho Villa as Himself," starring Antonio Banderas in the title role. Earlier, Bailey scored on another HBO miniseries, "Band of Brothers as well as on the big screen in "Fight Club" and in the upcoming independent film "Life of the Party."

In addition, Bailey co-starred in the feature "Sexual Life," opposite Anne Heche, Dule Hill (NBC's "The West Wing") and Tom Everett Scott. The film premiered at the 2004 Los Angeles Film Festival. Among his other films are "Almost Famous" (as Rolling Stone's Jann Wenner), "Mindhunters" (directed by Renny Harlin) and "Center Stage."

Among Bailey's other television credits are a regular role in the series "Significant Others" and guest-starring appearances in "Without a Trace" and "Dawson's Creek." His stage work includes "Equus" at the Pasadena Playhouse and "Spoon River Anthology," "Look Homeward, Angel" and "Dinner at Eight" at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

"ER" is a production of Constant c Productions and Amblin Television in association with Warner Bros. Television. Creator Michael Crichton is also an executive producer, along with John Wells ("West Wing" "Third Watch") and Christopher Chulack.
