Actor/director/sports enthusiast Jason Priestley joins the cast of QUINTUPLETS in a special holiday episode that makes you glad you're not a Chase. Priestley will play Bob's (Andy Richter) brother, a womanizing sports agent, whose visit gets Bob in a heap of trouble Wednesday, Nov. 24 (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
Priestley also co-stars on the FOX sci-fi drama TRU CALLING, playing opposite Eliza Dushku as Jack Harper, a forensic attendant harboring a dark secret. He recently shot the UK miniseries "Colditz," which centers on soldiers held captive at a maximum-security POW camp in Germany during World War II.
Last year, Priestley received rave reviews for his performance in "Die Mommie Die!," a tongue-in-cheek homage to "women's pictures" of the 1960s, opposite Charles Busch. This black comedy premiered to great acclaim at the 2003 Sundance Film Festival and won the Special Jury Prize. Priestley also starred in the ABC Family Channel romantic comedy "I Want to Marry Ryan Banks."
Priestley directed and produced the critically acclaimed documentary for the Canadian rock band The Barenaked Ladies, titled "Barenaked in America." The documentary, which premiered at the 2000 Toronto Film Festival and The Slamdance Film Festival, was released by The Shooting Gallery in 2000. He also directed the band's video, "The Old Apartment," which garnered a Best Director nomination for Priestley at the 1996 Canadian Music Video Awards. His other directing credits include episodes of "The Outer Limits," "Grosse Pointe," "Beverly Hills 90210" and the Fox thriller "Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye."
In addition to his Golden Globe-nominated starring role on "Beverly Hills 90210," Priestley's long list of credits includes "Cover Story," "Love and Death on Long Island," "Cherish" and "Eye of the Beholder."
Raising a teenager can be a challenge. Raising five at once means all-out war. The quintuplets were a blessing for Bob (Andy Richter) and Carol Chase (Rebecca Creskoff) when they were first born an adorable gift of abundance, they graced many a magazine cover promoting everything from applesauce to condoms. Their teenage years, however, have been less than kind. The quints are no longer the precious little tykes they used to be. Now they are three boys and two girls of varying sizes, looks, intelligence and social skills.
Torn between their dependence on each other and their need to develop their individuality, the quintuplets must deal with the problems of living their teenage years as one of five siblings and a part of this unique family.
QUINTUPLETS comes from Imagine Television and 20th Century Fox Television. The series was created and executive-produced by Mark Reisman, and David Nevins serves as an executive producer.
