SCI FI BRINGS BACK THE 'GHOST HUNTERS'

AMERICA'S FAVORITE MOONLIGHTING PLUMBERS WILL RETURN FOR 13 EPISODES OF THE NEW HIT SERIES

NEW YORK -- November 30, 2004 -- SCI FI has ordered an additional 13 episodes of their new hit series Ghost Hunters, which premiered in October to record-high ratings. The series introduced Jason and Grant--plumbers by day, ghost hunters by night--and is part of SCI FI's strategy to broaden the network and bring in new viewers. The announcement came today from Mark Stern, Executive Vice President, Original Programming for SCI FI. This one-hour weekly alternative reality series, currently airing new episodes every Wednesday at 9:00 PM ET/PT, will go back into production in early '05.

Ghost Hunters follows a group of real-life ghostbusters as they investigate reported hauntings throughout the country. Plumbers by trade, Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson head up a group of intrepid souls that are far from the usual collection of be-spectacled Ph.D.s. They're ordinary, everyday people with an interest in getting to the bottom of your otherworldly disturbances. Part of SCI FI's "alternative reality" programming slate, Ghost Hunters, produced in association with Craig Piligian's Pilgrim Films and Television, leaves no stone unturned in its search for the truth ? or the truly bizarre. Piligian and Thomas Thayer serve as executive producers.

In the six weeks since its premiere, Ghost Hunters has averaged a 1.2 HH rating and 1,412,000 total viewers (P2+). This is up +33% in HH ratings and +37% in viewers compared to the time period average in the same weeks in 2003. Ghost Hunters has made the most significant gains in the P18-34 demo, delivering an average audience of 436,000 P18-34s, an increase of +106% vs. the time period average in the same weeks in 2003.

At 11:30 PM ET/PT on November 30, SCI FI's sister network, USA, will air an episode of Ghost Hunters in which a "haunted" Massachusetts armory is the setting for the series' first case of a "ghost" assaulting a human...and it's all on camera!

Craig Piligian was the co-executive producer on Survivor: The Australian Outback and Survivor: Africa. In addition to Ghost Hunters, Piligian is the creator and executive producer of American Chopper, American Hotrod and American Casino, among other productions. The former president of Universal Television, Thomas Thayer's Traveler's Rest Productions is also producing the new series Kojak for USA Network (SCI FI's sister Channel) starring Ving Rhames.

SCI FI Channel is a television network where "what if" is what's on. SCI FI fuels the imagination of viewers with original series and events, blockbuster movies and classic science fiction and fantasy programming, as well as a dynamic Web site (www.scifi.com) and magazine. Launched in 1992, and currently in 84 million homes, SCI FI Channel is a network of NBC Universal, one of the world's leading media and entertainment companies.
