CBS AND WORLDWIDE PANTS ANNOUNCE ACTOR/COMEDIAN CRAIG FERGUSON AS THE NEW HOST OF CBS' THE LATE LATE SHOW

Ferguson To Premiere As Host on Monday, January 3, 2005

CBS and Worldwide Pants today announced that actor/comedian Craig Ferguson will take over as the new permanent host of CBS' THE LATE LATE SHOW. Ferguson replaces former host Craig Kilborn, who stepped down as host of the late night talker in August.

THE LATE LATE SHOW with CRAIG FERGUSON will kickoff the New Year with Ferguson's inaugural broadcast on Monday, Jan. 3 (12:37-1:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

"Craig is a smart, funny and versatile personality who we feel can build a following on late night television," said Rob Burnett, President and CEO of Worldwide Pants, Incorporated. "This was a difficult decision to make among talented candidates, but Craig is clearly a gifted comic who will be an outstanding host of the Late Late Show."

Ferguson served two stints as the guest host for THE LATE LATE SHOW. His first leap into late night television was for two nights, Oct. 14 and Oct. 15. Ferguson, along with three former guest hosts, was then invited back in November for an additional week-long hosting stint. Ferguson drew the first week of shows, Nov. 8-Nov. 12.

Ferguson is best-known for his work on the comedy series "The Drew Carey Show" where he played Carey's boss, Nigel Wick. The multi-talented entertainer also wrote and starred in the feature films, "Saving Grace" and "The Big Tease." Ferguson also spent some time behind the camera making his directorial debut in 2003 with the critically acclaimed film "I'll Be There," which took home Audience Awards for Best Film at the Aspen, Dallas and Valencia Film Festivals.

Before taking the reigns at 12:30 AM, Ferguson will visit the 11:30 PM hour with an appearance on CBS' "The Late Show with David Letterman" on Tuesday, Dec. 14.

THE LATE LATE SHOW with CRAIG FERGUSON will be broadcast weeknights (12:37-1:37 AM, ET/PT) following the "Late Show with David Letterman" on the CBS Television Network. THE LATE LATE SHOW with CRAIG FERGUSON is a production of Worldwide Pants Inc. Todd Allan Yasui is executive producer.
