Millionaire Glenn Stearns Rescued in Finale of TBSs New Reality Series THE REAL GILLIGANS ISLAND
Stearns to Match and Donate Prize Money to Stearns Family Charitable Foundation
Millionaire Glenn Stearns was the last castaway standing in the exciting rescue last night on the finale of the new reality series THE REAL GILLIGANS ISLAND on TBS, televisions very funny network. The series featured two sets of castaways who personify the original Gilligans Island characters stranded on an island and challenged to find a way off the island.
After the castaways competed against their counterparts for a spot in the final cast, the game changed, and the castaways vied to be rescued by completing challenges and facing each other in banishment ceremonies. Millionaire Glenn Stearns was victorious in mentally and physically outlasting the other castaways, winning $250,000 and a Ford Mustang GT.
A multi-millionaire in real life, Stearns matched the prize money on behalf of his 26 Stearns companies and donated it to the Stearns Family Charitable Foundation, which he founded with his wife, Mindy, who finished second in the competition. The Stearns Family Charitable Foundation aids charities that help disadvantaged youth reach their full potential.
Season two of THE REAL GILLIGANS ISLAND will set sail in the summer of 2005 with all new castaways.
Grammy-nominated Jive recording artists Bowling for Soup, whose latest single 1985 is currently climbing the charts, have re-recorded the Gilligans Island theme song to serve as the theme for TBSs new reality series.
