Hold 'Em, Fold 'Em ... It's All in the Cards as E! Presents 'Hollywood Poker Night'
New Series Featuring a Star-Studded Evening Highlighted With a Little Cards,
a Little Conversation and an Exclusive Home Tour
That '70s Show's Laura Prepon to Team With Flutie Entertainment, Sara Chazen
and Joel Klein as Executive Producers of the Series
LOS ANGELES, Jan. 11 -- This March, E! is shuffling the deck
on the celebrity poker genre with the launch of "Hollywood Poker Night," a new
hour-long weekly series that takes viewers inside our favorite celebrity homes
for more than just an innocent game of cards, announced Ted Harbert, President
& CEO, E! Networks.
"'Hollywood Poker Night' is E!'s signature take on the celebrity poker
craze," said Harbert. "The series offers the fun and challenge of cards, but
will also gives viewers a unique glimpse into the lives and homes of some of
today's top young stars."
From the diamonds in their hands to those on their fingers, "Hollywood
Poker Night" offers viewers more then just a friendly game of poker as three
stars and three of their best buddies ante-up for an evening of cards,
conversation and good company. Each week, different celebrity hosts take
viewers on an exclusive tour of their home, sharing their favorite places to
relax, work out, and find solace away from their busy Hollywood lives. After
the tour, the fun really begins as the players saddle up for some real Texas
Hold'em. Although most celebrities are poker-faced about their private lives,
there's no telling what personal info they'll deal up as they kickback and
chitchat amongst friends. From their love lives, to families, to friends,
work and hobbies, these players lay more than just their cards on the table!
Featured celebrities in the series include Macaulay Culkin, Andy Dick,
Shannon Elizabeth ("American Pie"), Mila Kunis ("That '70s Show"), Seth Green
("The Italian Job"), Tom Green, Chris Masterson ("Malcolm in the Middle"),
Danny Masterson ("That '70s Show"), Sara Rue ("Less Than Perfect"), Wilmer
Valderrama ("That '70s Show"), and skaters Tony Hawk and Bam Margera.
Laura Prepon ("That '70s Show"), Flutie Entertainment, Sara Chazen and
Joel Klein serve as Executive Producers for the series.
Laura Prepon has been praised for her honest portrayal of Donna on "That
'70s Show," which marked her network television debut. She has received
critical acclaim for her performance, and Entertainment Weekly called her a
"rising star" and "wonderfully deadpan." Prepon recently wrapped production
of the independent film "Deadly," which is slated for release in 2005. Prepon
can be seen in the independent film "Lightning Bug," a drama thriller set in
the South about a young boy who longs to escape the misery of his childhood
and the misunderstanding of his hometown. Prepon plays "Angevin Duvel," a
young girl who can't seem to let go of small-town life. Prepon starred in the
film "Slackers" opposite Jason Schwartzman, James King and Devon Sawa. Her
other film credits include a leading role in the independent feature
"Southlander" opposite Beck and Hank Williams III. She also co-starred in
"The Pornographer: A Love Story" with Martin Donovan, Kathleen Chalfant and
Irene Jacob. Prepon got her break portraying the lead character on the
groundbreaking Internet series "They Go On." She has also appeared in
numerous theatrical presentations, including "A Woman of Property" and
"Ascension Day." Although an East-coaster at heart, Prepon currently lives in
Los Angeles with her dogs, Cody and Lambert.
