HIT HBO SERIES DEADWOOD KICKS OFF SECOND SEASON MARCH 6
LOS ANGELES, Jan. 13, 2005 - HBO's hit Sunday-night western drama
series DEADWOOD kicks off its second season of 12 episodes SUNDAY,
MARCH 6 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT). The spring of 1877 brings major
changes to DEADWOOD, in the form of new arrivals, and the encroaching
forces of modernism and capitalism, as the camp becomes an official
part of the United States.
Created and executive produced by David Milch ("NYPD Blue"), DEADWOOD
wrapped its first season last June. The series was nominated for 11
Emmys(r) last year and won two Emmys(r) (Directing for a Drama Series
- Walter Hill and Sound Editing for a Series). In addition, DEADWOOD
was recently nominated for two Golden Globe Awards, for Best
Television Series, Drama and Best Performance by an Actor in a
Television Series - Drama (Ian McShane). HBO Video will release the
first season of DEADWOOD on DVD Feb. 8.
Cast regulars on the second season of DEADWOOD include: Timothy

Star), Molly Parker (Alma Garret), Powers Boothe (Cy Tolliver), Robin
Weigert (Calamity Jane), Brad Dourif (Doc Cochran), Leon Rippy (Tom

Earl Brown (Dan Dority), Dayton Callie (Charlie Utter), Jim Beaver
(Ellsworth), William Sanderson (E.B. Farnum), Kim Dickens (Joanie
Stubbs), Jeffrey Jones (A.W. Merrick), Titus Welliver (Silus Adams),
Anna Gunn (Martha Bullock), Garret Dillahunt (Samuel Wolcott), Bree
Seanna Wall (Sofia Metz) and Josh Eriksson (William Bullock).
Directors for the second season of DEADWOOD include: Michael
Almereyda, Ed Bianchi, Gregg Fienberg, Dan Minahan, Steve Shill, Alan
Taylor and Tim Van Patten. Writers include: David Milch, Regina
Corrado, Sara Hess, Ted Mann, Bernadette McNamara, Victoria Morrow,
