ACTRESS-COMEDIAN SANDRA BERNHARD TO MAKE MULTI-EPISODE GUEST APPEARANCE ON NBC�S �CROSSING JORDAN�
BURBANK, Calif. -� February 1, 2005 -� Actress-comedian Sandra Bernhard will begin a multi-episode guest-starring role in NBC's drama series "Crossing Jordan" (Sundays, 10-11 p.m. ET) as no-nonsense Boston detective Roz Framus who works with forensic expert Bug (Ravi Kapoor) to unravel a mysterious kidnapping in an episode for broadcast on February 13.
Bernhard will reprise this role in a second and third episode later this season with exact airdates to be announced later.
In the episode "You Really Got Me," the suicide of a one-armed Boston man leads Jordan (Jill Hennessy) to uncover the missing murder weapon from an eight-year-old Los Angeles homicide where she helped to send the alleged murderer to death row. However, with five days to go before the execution, Jordan and Woody (Jerry O'Connell) head to L.A. hoping to find evidence that will save an innocent life.
Elsewhere, when the body of a vagrant whom Bug (Ravi Kapoor) saw being kidnapped earlier ends up in the morgue, the troubled scientist teams up with Detective Roz Framus in his search for answers. Miguel Ferrer, Kathryn Hahn and Steve Valentine also star.
Known for her portrayal of Nancy on the critically acclaimed comedy "Roseanne," Bernhard is also a performance artist who has appeared in a variety of feature films including "Hudson Hawk," "King Of Comedy" and "Playing Mona Lisa." She has made notable guest appearances on "Dragnet," "The Larry Sanders Show," "Chicago Hope," "The Sopranos," and NBC's "Will & Grace" and "Law & Order."
Bernhard will also be bringing her new one-woman show, "Everything Bad Is Beautiful," to the Silent Movie Theatre in Los Angeles from March 9-26.
