LEA THOMPSON SPARKLES AS SECRET AGENT
Lea Thompson is earning rave reviews for her starring role as full-time mom,
part-time spy "Jane Doe." The Hollywood Reporter calls the latest Hallmark Channel
Mystery Movie franchise a "splendid new action-packed mystery full of suspense, wit
and good fun."
As Cathy Davis, a seemingly ordinary suburban housewife with an extraordinary
gift for unraveling complex mysteries, Thompson "gets a chance to shine" and gives the
contemporary who-and-howdunit "plenty of punch."
It's the best of both worlds for Thompson, who is a real-life wife and mother -
but also has a little bit of an edge. Case in point: After four seasons as perky Caroline
Duffy on "Caroline in the City," she couldn't have been more un-Caroline-like as
decadent Sally Bowles in the Broadway production of "Cabaret." When the musical
opened in Houston, Thompson walked on the wild side. "I went skydiving and I got a
tattoo," she says. "I had a big week that week."
The next installment of "Jane Doe" premieres Friday, February 18 (9/8c)
exclusively on Hallmark Channel.
