Winner to Be Announced in Live Two-Hour Spectacular

The Top 12 have yet to compete, but when AMERICAN IDOL whittles down to two remaining finalists, they will battle it out live from the renowned Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, CA, Tuesday, May 24 (8:00-9:00 PM live ET/tape-delayed PT) on FOX. On Wednesday, May 25 (8:00-10:00 PM live ET/tape-delayed PT), the newest AMERICAN IDOL will be crowned before thousands of fans and millions of television viewers. Last year, nearly 30 million people tuned in to watch Fantasia Barrino claim the AMERICAN IDOL crown.

The fourth season of AMERICAN IDOL has surpassed last year's ratings and AMERICAN IDOL ranks as the No. 1-rated program of the season (out of 167 regular series on the 6-nets) among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens.
