NBC'S CHRIS CONTI SIGNS NEW TWO-YEAR PRODUCTION DEAL WITH NBC UNIVERSAL TELEVISION STUDIO

BURBANK - March 14, 2005 - Veteran NBC program executive Chris Conti has signed a new two-year deal with NBC Universal Television Studio to develop new comedy and drama series, it was announced today by Angela Bromstad, Co-President, NBC Universal Television Studio, and David Kissinger, Co-President, NBC Universal Television Studio.

Conti most recently had been Senior Vice President, Drama Development, NBC Entertainment, where he helped to develop NBC's newest hits "Medium" and "Law & Order: Trial by Jury."

"Chris' wealth of experience and creative contacts will be invaluable to our growing studio," said Bromstad. "His track record of drama speaks for itself and I can't wait to get started working with him on our side of production."

"Chris has been one of the key architects of NBC's success in the drama field for many years," said Kissinger. "He is an incredibly passionate and creative individual who will now be even more successful creating shows on the production side."

"Conti was appointed Senior Vice President, Drama Development, NBC Entertainment, in June 2000. Previously, he had served as Vice President of Drama Development since May 1999 and as Director of Primetime Series since August 1997.

In addition to "Medium" and "Law & Order: Trial by Jury," Conti has also been responsible for developing such recent hit dramas as "Las Vegas." In the last few years, he oversaw the development of "American Dreams," "Boomtown," and the summer "drama-mentary," "Crime & Punishment," from Emmy winner Dick Wolf.

Earlier, Conti supervised the development of the critically acclaimed freshman drama "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" and the continuing hit drama, "Crossing Jordan."

Conti has also been responsible for developing the long-running dramas "Third Watch" and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," each in its sixth season. His other projects have included the long-running drama "The Pretender."

On NBC's upcoming development season, Conti managed the development of the promising "NY-70," a crime drama series set in 1970s New York.

Conti joined NBC in 1990 as a Page before becoming an assistant in Children's Programs and Drama Development. He was named Manager of Primetime Series in 1996.

A native of Philadelphia, Conti received a bachelor's degree in communications from Penn State University in 1986. He lives in Venice, California, with his wife, Linda, and daughters, Julianna and Sofia.
