Chris Tucker, one of the hottest comedians around, is set to host the THE 36TH NAACP IMAGE AWARDS, which will tape March 19 and air Friday, March 25 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
The star studded event, taping at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles, will feature presenters and performers including Halle Berry, Angela Bassett, Don Cheadle, Jamie Foxx, Jesse L. Martin, Kanye West, Kerry Washington, Michael Moore, Queen Latifah, Rachel True, Regina King, Sean Combs, Vanessa Williams, Stevie Wonder, Fantasia and Vivica A. Fox, just to name a few.
Honorees include Oprah Winfrey, who is receiving the NAACP Hall of Fame Award; Prince, who will receive the NAACP Vanguard Award; and Senator Barack Obama (D-IL), who will be honored with the NAACP Chairman's Award.
Chris Tucker, hailed as one of the funniest comics around, has come a long way since his stand-up comedy days on Def Comedy Jam.
