Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law to Make DVD Debut April 12
TVs first winged cartoon lawyer will make his DVD debut on Tuesday, April 12, when Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law: Volume One reaches stores. The hit Adult Swim series comes to DVD with the first 13 episodes, plus loads of extras.
List price for the two-disc Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law: Volume One set released, by Cartoon Network and Warner Home Video, is $29.98.
When all the superhero work dried up, Harvey Birdman pursued another valued profession: the law. Hes traded the Hall of Justice for Sebben & Sebben, and hes carved out a niche handling all the firms cartoon litigation. Which is not as easy as it seems, when youve got to keep Shaggy and Scooby out of jail or defend Speed Buggy after a high-speed chase. Throw in an empty personal life, a ball-busting boss, a psychotic legal assistant and a very persistent enemy from the old days and things are not always rosy. No wonder he likes to drop by The Birdcage for a few drinks every now and again. But it could be worse; Harvey Birdman still gets to wear his cowl.
The first Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law DVD set, a two-disc volume, will be released in conjunction with Space Ghost Coast to Coast: Volume Three. The set has a running time of 154 minutes and will be loaded with features, including:
- The first 13 episodes, including Bannon Custody Trial, Shaggy Busted and The Dabba Don.
- Deleted scenes from Deadomutt and Trios Company
- Casting outtakes from potential Harveys Stephen Colbert and Todd Barry
- Commentaries on five episodes, including commentary from Turner Broadcastings standards and practices and legal departments on The Devlin Made Me Do It
- Pencil test and final animation on Shaggy Busted.
- Behind-the-scenes production materials;
- A live-action re-creation of the opening sequence; and much more.
