ABC CONTINUES TO LAY THE FOUNDATION FOR THE 2005-06 SEASON WITH EARLY PICK-UP OF "EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION"
The ABC Television Network has added "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" to the list of current shows returning for the 2005-06 season, the network announced today. The hit reality show joins recent early pick-ups "Alias," "Boston Legal," "Desperate Housewives" and "Lost."
"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" ranks No. 1 in its hour among Total Viewers (15.9 million), across each of the key adult demographics (Adults 18-34 - 5.8/16, Adults 18-49 - 6.5/16 and Adults 25-54 - 7.0/15), as well as among Teens 12-17 (4.3/13) and Kids 2-11 (4.2/14). "Home Edition" is the fastest growing unscripted program on TV, up by 4.8 million viewers and by 51% among Adults 18-49 over its average last season. The design team who work their creative magic on the homes are team leader and carpenter Ty Pennington, Paul DiMeo (carpentry/nuts & bolts), Paige Hemmis (carpentry/creativity), Tracy Hutson (shopping/style), Michael Moloney (interiors/glamour), Constance Ramos (building/planning), Preston Sharp (exteriors/big ideas), Ed Sanders (carpentry) and Eduardo Xol (landscaping). "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" is produced by Endemol USA, a division of Endemol Holding. David Goldberg is President of Endemol USA. The series, now in its second season, is executive-produced by Tom Forman.
