PATRIOTS QB TOM BRADY HOSTS "SNL" WITH MUSIC FROM BECK
TWO-TIME SUPER BOWL MVP TOM BRADY HOSTS
"SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE" WITH MUSICAL GUEST BECK APRIL 16
Gridiron superstar New England Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady will headline the April 16 edition of NBC's "Saturday Night Live" with Grammy Award winning musician Beck (live, 11:30 pm - 1:00 am ET).
The youngest quarterback to win a Super Bowl, Brady has led the New England Patriots to three consecutive Super Bowl victories - creating a newly minted "dynasty" for the team. Brady can boast the best record (57-14) of any NFL quarterback in the Super Bowl era (post 1966) with at least 40 starts. He is the first quarterback in NFL history to start and win three Super Bowls before his 28th birthday. Brady was named MVP of both Super Bowl XXXVI and XXXVIII - becoming just the fourth player in Super Bowl history to earn multiple MVP awards - as well as the fourth in NFL history to lead his team to three or more Super Bowl wins.
He makes his acting debut on "SNL" and joins an illustrious list of athletes who have hosted in the show's nearly 30 year history including fellow NFL stars Joe Montana, Walter Peyton, Deion Sanders as well as superstars of other sports including Derek Jeter, Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, Andy Roddick, George Foreman and numerous others.
One of the most pivotal and versatile artists in contemporary music, musical guest Beck makes a return appearance on SNL - his fifth. Proclaimed "the king of hip" by Alternative Press, Beck has released his "liveliest and jumpiest music in years" according to Rolling Stone in his eagerly anticipated new record "Guero," which debuted at #2 on Billboard's album chart.
